About the workshop:
This is a workshop designed for Animal Responders. It will be lead by Instructor Susan Farren, who will provide cutting-edge research with relevant tools and practical techniques to combat and prevent the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Injuries (PTSI). This 4-hour session will provide an introduction to the work of First Responders Resiliency, Inc.and will go in-depth on each primary subject we teach. You will learn how stress and trauma affect one’s physiology, mental, and physical health when working in this industry. You will also be given science-based tools on how to proactively mitigate these effects. Please note: this workshop-style training is open to any and levels of Animal Disaster Volunteers, Veterinary Professionals, along with First and Last Responders to incidents involving animals. We can’t wait to meet you all!
