CAL FIRE 16-hour Training (Fresno)

About our program:

This 2-day CAL FIRE EXLUSIVE training will address the psychological, neurological, physical, emotional, and relational impacts of stress and trauma exposure affecting first responders. FRRI utilizes proactive modalities with a holistic approach to educating first responders in professional and personal resilience. We provide science-based education, skills, techniques, and tools that profoundly impact stress reduction and management.

Pre-requisite: 

One MUST be a CAL FIRE employee in order to attend this training.

Syllabus:

This training includes the following subject matter:

  • History of First Responder Wellness – The Founder’s Story
  • Neuroanatomy and the Physiological impacts of trauma
  • Relationship between stress and The Nervous System
  • The Science of Mindfulness-Based Practices
  • Physical & Psychological Impacts to Stress and Trauma
  • The Science of Exercise and Nutritional Practices
  • The Importance of Sleep
  • Tactical Resiliency Training
  • Tactical Breathwork
  • Building Emotional & Relational Resiliency
  • Substance Abuse and Recovery Programs
  • Lessons in Leadership

Event Details:

  • Location: Fresno, CA (specific locations will be emailed to attendees)
  • Each day will begin at 0800 and end at 1700
  • We will take frequent breaks and have a 1-hour break for lunch
  • Lunch, snacks, and lots of coffee will be provided on both days.
