2026 CAL FIRE Anaheim/Riverside Training (Private)
About the Program
This 2-day CAL FIRE–exclusive training is designed to address the psychological, neurological, physical, emotional, and relational impacts of chronic stress and trauma exposure experienced by first responders.
First Responders Resiliency, Inc. (FRRI) delivers proactive, holistic, and science-based education focused on strengthening both professional performance and personal well-being. Through evidence-informed lectures and experiential modalities, participants will gain practical skills, techniques, and tools shown to support stress reduction, nervous system regulation, and long-term resilience.
Prerequisite
- Attendance is only permitted to CAL FIRE employees.
Syllabus
This training includes instruction and experiential learning in the following subject areas:
- History of First Responder Wellness: The Founder’s Story
- Neuroanatomy and the Physiological Impacts of Trauma
- The Relationship Between Stress and the Nervous System
- The Science of Mindfulness-Based Practices
- Physical and Psychological Impacts of Stress and Trauma
- The Science of Exercise and Nutritional Practices
- The Importance of Sleep
- Tactical Resiliency Training
- Tactical Breathwork
- Building Emotional and Relational Resiliency
- Substance Abuse Awareness and Recovery Programs
- Lessons in Leadership
Event Details
Location: Southern, CA (Specific location details will be emailed to registered attendees)
Schedule:
- Each day begins at 0800 and concludes at 1700
- Frequent breaks will be provided, including a 1-hour lunch break
Meals:
- Lunch, snacks, and plenty of coffee will be provided both days
